I been waiting for the draft since the season ended. I don't know why. My Eagles normally throw away there first round pick. As history shows thats a great move for a team that hasn't won a superbowl ever. And has not won Championship since 1960. The first year they threw their pick away their pick was used on Demarcis Ware. Who needs that guy right Andy Reid. Also the next pick was used by the colts on Joseph Addai. He is just one of the top ten backs in the league. They picked Kevin Kolb and he has held the ball for David Akers kicks better then any other first round pick of the draft. Last year they got lucky and got Action Jackson. If they give their pick away for nothing again, Imo done with the team. They already let the most popular and future hall fame player Dawkins go. The fans are not happy. I have had season tickets for almost 15 years now. I want results and so does every other eagles fan. This is a team that has ten picks this year. They had 2 first rounders and 12 picks. They traded for one of the best ol in the league. Not too bad. The reason they Traded out of the first round the past two years was to be in this position where they could add play makers they would impact the team now. If they are going to not use their first rounder. They can clearly trade for a wr like Bolden or Edwards. They passed up on pro bowl TE Tony Gonzales, who was traded for a 2nd rounder next year. Why would they take a guy like that when they only have one TE( who will be a star). Fatty Reid loves linemen and normally picks a linemen in the first round. The last time they picked anyone in the first round it was 2006. The whole eagle nation has been waiting 3 years to see the eagles take a star in the first round or get a proven vetrien star for that pick in a trade. Getting nothing for it is not a option this year. If Fat's takes a linemen in the first round. He should take Robert Ayers from Tenn. This kid is going to be a star. He is big fast and a true pass rusher. I know they where third in sacks last year and have cole and parker. They could use another big time pass rusher to come in on certain downs. I think they need another play maker on offense first though. They brett celek who is an great tight end. He started 3 times last year. In each start he had over 100 yards and a score. They have no depth at running back. They have westbrook( who is injured for at-least a game or two every year) and lorenzo booker. Their most glaring need is at WR if they don't trade for one. They should take Darries Heyward-Bay. Out of Maryland and the fastest kid in the draft. He would complete their WR core. He probably is the best WR in this draft next to crabtree. They have a decent 2nd pick and 3rd rounder. They could add depth to running back and TE with these picks. With the four 5th round picks they have. They could add CB, LB, and some special teams needs. The two 6th and one 7th rounder its a toss up. This is a team that could with the right moves make it to the bowl and win. They clearly need more offensive weapons. If they don't trade for one. They will need to pick a few up with their first 3 picks. Hopefully they don't trade out of the draft again for nothing and pass up on a star player. All we could do is watch six hours of the first round till we get to 21 to see what they do. It has been a disappointing couple of drafts. Hopefully this one will make up for the past two years.

WOW.. i LOVE your Phill passion pauly.. i agree with the fact that they REALLY need to get Boldin or Edwards. Boldin seems more sensible as he is proven and could draw off coverage for the speedier DeSean jackson.. Brayon is too inconsistent especially considering what the Browns seem to be asking.. the G-men pulled back just yesterday after tiring of their ridiculous demands.

As for Celek.. he is a stud.. a fantasy sleeper but that is for another Blog.

But if i may make one argument for your boy "Fats" I think the Peters move gives them arguably the best O line in that division and that means the world to the aging McNabb and Westbrook.

i'm rooting for you tomorrow buddy. And be sure to tune in Tuesday for the live blog!
